When using an image on a brochure, the best course of action would be to use a jpeg. It would allow the brochure to be printed much quicker. Also the size of the files will be smaller. Using vector images would use up a lot more ink and be more expensive to print.

When using an image on the internet it would be best to use a jpeg as they are easy to download and transfer between sites. Although they can be very blurry when zoomed in.

Vector images would be best to use for car images. A vector image will keep its quality when it is enlarged. This makes it more than suitable for a car as the image will need to be enlarged and keep its quality.

PDF files are used for brochures as these files can be accessed without the need for any specific software.
